Call for Proposals now open! 📣

Posted by PyCascades Team on Oct. 19, 2022

It is wild to say that PyCascades has had over 5 years of incredible speakers & wonderful talks! We have been lucky to showcase the amazing talent our community has within it. We are really looking forward to showcasing that community again next year. Our Call for Proposals (CFP) opens today and closes at the end of the day on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 Anywhere on Earth.

Considering speaking at PyCascades? Great! We look forward to reading your proposal!

Never considered speaking at PyCascades? We think you should! We love proposals from:

  • People who've never spoken before!
  • People new to Python.
  • People who use Python in their spare time.
  • People who want to talk about something that isn't specifically Python.

What gets you excited? What cool art did you build? What's something you wish someone had told you years ago? What interesting problem have you solved recently? We're interested in talks about anything that someone in the Python community would be intrigued by. We will be in-person this year, but don't let that stop you from submitting proposals if you want be joining us in Vancouver! We will also be considering remote live & remote pre-recorded talks.

If you're interested, please take a look at the instructions at https://pretalx.com/pycascades-2023/cfp. If you'd like advice or assistance in preparing for your talk, we'd be happy to help!

We believe that a conference should reflect the diversity within it. We take our Code of Conduct seriously, and encourage those of groups traditionally underrepresented in technology to apply. All speakers will find a supportive environment as you prepare for their talk.

Need some inspiration? Check out our playlists from previous PyCascades conferences on YouTube to get a better sense of what talks we accept!

If you have any questions about the CFP process, send a note to info@pycascades.com.
